About the Financial Advisor

Walter is an Owner of Focus Financial and the Founder of Pickup and Associates. He has had the privilege of building relationships with clients for over 25 years.  Walter spends most of his day meeting with clients and is grateful to have such a capable team at Pickup and Associates. 

He focuses on serving individuals in the south metro of the Twin Cities. 

Walter serves his clients by providing them with the best technology and financial planning tools available in the industry to his clients.

Personal Life

Walter attended high school in the Chicago suburbs.  As a teenager, he worked at an Auto Body shop and started to develop an appreciation for classic cars.  After high school, Walter continued his studies at Northwestern College in Iowa and at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA.  He left the sunshine of southern California in 1990 and has called Minnesota home ever since.  His life experiences include a variety of church leadership roles as well as more than 24 years of service as a firefighter.
